​The Future Foundation Scholarship is a $500 grant from the Humble Beginnings Foundation, awarded to local students and the families working hard to give them every chance to succeed. It's more than financial help. It's an investment in the dreams, leadership, and potential of the next generation. Recipients are honored each summer at our Back-to-School Drive, where awards are presented alongside school supplies and community resources to set students up for a confident start to the new year.

How to apply

Applying is free and takes only a few minutes. Families complete a short online application that asks for basic contact and household information, plus a few questions that let each student share their goals, what the grant would mean for them, and how they hope to lead and give back. Younger students who aren't yet writing comfortably are welcome to submit a drawing of their dream for the future in place of a written response, so no child is left out because of their age. The scholarship is open to students in grades K through 8. Applications open June 1, 2026 and must be submitted by July 1, 2026.

How recipients are selected

 

Every application is read and scored by our Scholarship Review Committee using a consistent, fair process, and all eligibility and supporting information is verified. The committee then meets to discuss recommendations and finalize the students who best reflect the heart of this scholarship: determination, leadership, and a desire to grow.

 

Selected recipients will be notified by email and phone by July 10, 2026. The final recipient list will be confirmed by July 15, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be recognized and presented with their awards during the Humble Beginnings Back-to-School Drive on July 25, 2026.
